Privacy policy

Draft policy — placeholder text for Loop, a food delivery marketplace in India. These terms must be reviewed and completed before commercial use.

Information we use

We use your account details, saved addresses, order history and order chat to arrange food delivery. Location is requested with your permission; riders share location while Online to receive nearby offers and during active deliveries. We do not share customers’ and riders’ phone numbers with each other.

Loop Rider background location

Loop Rider collects precise location while you are Online, before and during active deliveries, including when the app is in the background or the screen is locked. This supports customer delivery tracking and dispatch availability. A persistent notification identifies active location sharing. Sharing stops when you go Offline or leave the rider session. After a delivery finishes, Online availability sharing continues to find the next offer; tracking for the completed order stops. You can revoke location access in Android settings.

Notifications

With permission, we store your Android device notification token and use Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver offers and delivery updates. Web notifications remain separate. Notification content on a locked screen is marked private.

Sharing and security

Restaurants and delivery partners receive the information necessary to fulfil orders. Hosting, maps and location-search services may process necessary technical information. Access to order data is restricted. No system can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You may decline location access and set a map pin manually. You may manage saved addresses and delete your account. Deletion removes your account and linked personal data; active orders must be closed first. Non-personal marketplace records may remain.

India and contact
